Your Guide to Creating the Best Ultimate Team !

Store (Packs!)

So, before I begin, I want to make something crystal clear. I want there to be 0 confusion. This guide is intended to assist you in making your team better. With our teamwork we can achieve that. So, I beg you, implore you, EA does not want you to know this, but packs are lottery tickets. Except even then you win the occasional $5. Packs give you horrible odds. They are not advisable with some exceptions. Yes, you can buy packs and minimize your chances of hurting your team and goal and you will get some hits. Now, with that warning let's continue.

First off, Premium Packs, Base Packs, Premium Player Packs, ect, all garbage. Seriously, buy 3. Come back and tell me I'm wrong. I'll wait.

Now that you've wasted coins, or hopefully listened to me, there are three reasons to ever check the store. First, every now and then, EA loves to give a free pack away. You usually get some sort of notification on the home page, but I just spot check the store daily. You never know what you'll find in there. So, no free pack, moving on.

The 2nd reason to ever go to the store is you want to gamble. Fact it, we all love gambling. Some of us love that feeling of winning and can't get enough of it. Some of us actually enjoy losing and when they win its not as high as the thrill of losing. Hey, to each their own. That is the second reason to ever buy a pack.

So the third and final reason of no really good reasons is each event releases their own packs. But this falls into the gambling terrority but a little better, but EA offers packs which usually contain a collectible and either a player item from the event or a high percent at a higher overall card, for 100K. Again, its a gamble, but 1 - 40k of the 100 is for the collectible, so its a 60K gamble. But I've hit a few of the rewards. One was a card at 90 that because the player's team finished in a wild card spot his overall was a 97. Another event gave me a gold collectible and a 100% chance of a 92 over all, which gave me a 98 overall.
Compare that to a Premium Players Pack, where the odds are less than 1% of getting an 87 plus player.

So my recommendation on any packs is they're a crapshoot. If you're going to do it, get a collectible out of it with a higher chance at a stud. Better then spending 80K on 4 packs and getting nothing above an 84 on any of them.
