Welcome to NHL HUT Guide 21!

Your Guide to Creating the Best Ultimate Team !

EVENT CHALLENGES

Event challenges start on Fridays and run anywhere from 1 week to 2 months (the last event being 2 months, rest are 1 to 2 weeks usually).

They are usually given a theme that is relavent to the current NHL season. Such as during the trade deadline, the event was centered around players who were traded. The All Start Game event was players in the game, and the card's stats would upgrade if the player performed in either the All Star challenges or game itself.

These are geared to make your team better as well. Every event will usually yield you at least one player who will be starting on your team.

Each event has 2 sets of challenges.

  • The first is 10 set challenges is live for the entire event. Randomly placed in these challenge rewards are coins, packs, and usually a 3 game loan player who's the MSPs for the event, usually you receive a choice of which you would like to use.
  • There are Daily Challenges too. These will yield event collectibles which can then be used to complete sets. Sets will yield anything from an event pack from the store to event players.
QUICKTIP: Every so often, EA will throw in extra coins to a Icon or Gold Collectible along with the Collectible Challenge so keep an eye out for those especially.

For beginners I recommend always playing these challenges, even over the difficulty leveled challenges. These are the best way to improve your team immediately.

CURRENT EVENTS!!!

Lit vs Grit Event

So there isn't much to this event in terms of challenges. Normal weekday challenges give you collectibles used to open a pack in sets. The 10 challenges there all week really don't give you much outside of mini packs, coins, ect. Nothing specific is being given out to make you want to play these challenges more. Since they do expire, play them for the daily HUT challenge objective. You will be able to rack up some coins and cards at least.

Road to NHL 21 - Only if you had NHL 20

Not much to say about these event objectives here, basically you will receive coin for playing as well as getting points you can spend on packs as well as an Ovi jersey for NHL 21. If you are going to pre order NHL 21, like me, this is a no brainer, you aim to finish all these objectives. You can only redeem the points though if you play the game from release date until mid November so keep that in mind.
