Clinic Pics Did You Know? Whether on the ice or off, parents should encourage their children to have the mindset of winning, and the attitude of accepting failure as an opportunity for growth. These conversations will better prepare your child for hockey training to accept either scenario. Young athletes should always train to win, but a large part of winning involves the right attitude of sportsmanship. Learning how to lose and win graciously will provide a positive mental health benefit that your child can bring into the real world and utilize daily. It can only help in navigating the world with a more positive mindset.\u00a0\u00a0 Here at Goody Hockey, we teach our students that they cannot often control the outcome of a hockey game, but they can control their response.
