Clincs
The development of a hockey player does not stop with practices and games. At Goody Hockey, coach Chris Goodrich will often instruct at hockey clinics and refers his students to some of the area’s teams. Clinics run for six to eight weeks – usually once a week for one hour. Chris also conducts and hosts mini clinics conducted over a few days.
Goody Hockey clinics are for students to practice the fundamental drills and skills acquired throughout the hockey season. Clinics are an excellent way to supplement the ice time of games and team practices, with a proven success rate provided by all our students.
Our clinics provide a way for students to practice on their own and play to develop their technique. They are held in New Hyde Park, NY, and we update our schedule accordingly for students to sign up for the clinics Goody Hockey holds during the year.
Videos shown on Goody Hockey social media (Facebook and Instagram) showcase some of the drills and skills that our students learn. The diverse ages of our students is something we take pride in – you are never too young to learn the basics of hockey, and it is always valuable to learn teamwork and discipline at any age.
Many house leagues do not offer ice time to practice consistently. This is where Goody Hockey differs from other schools – we recognize that clinics are an important part of a player’s development. Our clinics offer an affordable way to gain valuable ice time for determined hockey players.
Success rates for Goody Hockey clinics show increases in speed, technique, and balance. This is what Chris and Goody Hockey strive for with their clinics – to become a better and skillful player today than you were the day before.
The question you need to ask yourself – are you ready to learn a new skill that will help you in life?
Be ready for the Goody Hockey challenge – the rink awaits you!

Did You Know?
Whether on the ice or off, parents should encourage their children to have the mindset of winning, and the attitude of accepting failure as an opportunity for growth. These conversations will better prepare your child for hockey training to accept either scenario. Young athletes should always train to win, but a large part of winning involves the right attitude of sportsmanship. Learning how to lose and win graciously will provide a positive mental health benefit that your child can bring into the real world and utilize daily. It can only help in navigating the world with a more positive mindset.
Here at Goody Hockey, we teach our students that they cannot often control the outcome of a hockey game, but they can control their response.
