Camps

To be a good hockey player, you need to be a good skater. Learning proper skating techniques is crucial to gaining control of your speed and balance. Do not let this intimidate you – Goody Hockey understands that young potential prospects want to get in the rink and play, and that you want to ensure yourself that you have what it takes to be a rising star in the game of hockey.

Where Goody Hockey comes into play is this – you need to learn the essentials, and you need to learn to play with others on a team AND play against others on a team. The solution to this question is our training camps.

At Goody Hockey, bringing skaters to their next level is often accomplished by an intensive week of hockey camp. We spend valuable time and pass on helpful knowledge at our hockey camp, providing students with quality time on the ice to teach fundamental skills in a competitive athletic and educational atmosphere. Improved results will always be attained as students spend time on the ice for a long time. Here they can execute drills and learn off-ice training. Our sessions provide lessons in these techniques, and these techniques taught within game situations lead to improved results.

As a hockey camp instructor, coach Chris Goodrich teaches his students fundamentals such as puck-handling and power-skating. Chris also works one-on-one with each individual student to help them realize their maximum potential. His desire to teach, motivate, and inspire students to discipline themselves to become the best possible hockey players they can be is due to his wealth of knowledge and experience that he wants to teach to others.

Attending a hockey camp will not only improve your skating, passing, shooting and stick handling skills. It will also help you to feel more confident and give you concentrated instruction on positioning and team play. Goody Hockey training camps will help you consistently improve your skate game, and that in turn will help your development to become a better player and a more disciplined person.

Goody Hockey training camps with Chris have something different to offer to every player at every level. If you think you have what it takes, then get ready for the Goody Hockey challenge – the rink awaits you!

Did You Know?

Hockey helps young students develop the ability to make quick decisions. Camaraderie in hockey builds bonds, friendships, and team spirit leading to a healthy body and mind! Also, playing hockey provides students to develop effective communication skills.

Since communication is a key factor in life, the ability to communicate effectively can alter the mental stress or discomfort of having to interact with individuals. This is helpful because quick-thinking is a big part when playing hockey. Both body language and verbal communication with teammates lead to success on the ice, as well as off the ice accordingly.
