Private Lessons
There is a discipline that comes with learning a sport, a martial art, or an instrument. Presence of mind and body, attention to detail, and practicing are the cornerstones of that discipline. At Goody Hockey, strong fundamentals taught at the beginning of instruction are the core of skilled hockey players. There is a right way and a wrong way to move on the ice. You will learn the difference here.
Your time on the rink will be filled with mistakes. Every student must expect this when learning a sport. You cannot expect to get a goal your first time in a game the same way you cannot expect to get to the Stanley Cup and win as your first game. These are unrealistic goals.
The differentiator is that Goody Hockey will help you develop the skills to always improve more than you did the previous day.
Goody Hockey will help you be able to identify flaws in your game and correct them. This discipline will lead to clean and powerful strides, precision crossovers, increased agility and smooth “on-the-fly” transitions. We believe that winning is good. However, we believe more in making young inexperienced players the best they can be – to play well, to play with others, and to win and lose graciously while embracing the learning experience.
Private lessons with Goody Hockey coach Chris Goodrich are designed to develop today’s young hockey player in a challenging and fun environment. Weaknesses will be pinpointed and addressed with a healthy dose of positive reinforcement. Do not be afraid to make mistakes – Goody Hockey will help you embrace those mistakes and gradually improve with every session.
Coach Chris’ methods teach the proper use of lower body and leg power. The participants will learn proper skating techniques to reinforce their game play and increase their confidence. Being a good skater is the foundation for every young hockey student. Learn the skate game, and the rest will follow with practice and embracing improvement.
Be ready for the Goody Hockey challenge – the rink awaits you!

Did You Know?
Hockey improves mental agility and the skill of concentration. Being able to concentrate while playing hockey will make it easier to concentrate while learning in school. Hockey, like chess, is a sport of strategy. Understanding how one event can lead to — or even create — another is essential to life success.
